Abolishment of Welding Equipment Standards
Announcement No.34,2005 by State Certification and Accreditation Administration
GB/T15579.5-2005 “Safety Requirements of arc-welding equipment-Section Five: Feed Wire Device” and GB/T15579.7 -2005 “Safety Requirements of arc-welding equipment-Section Seven: welding torch (gun)” (abbr. “new standards” as following) was carried out since December 1, 2005. From the date of carrying out new standards, JB/T9533-1999 “Feed Wire Device of Welding machine: Technical Requirements”, JB/T9526-1999 “Technical Requirements of TIG Welding torch” and JB/T9532-1999 “Technical Requirements of MIG/MAG Welding Torch” (abbr. “old standards” as following) was abolished.
Since December 1, 2005, sample inspection of Compulsory Product Certification for feed wire device of welding machine, TIG welding torch, MIG/MAG welding torch uses GB/T15579.5-2005 and GB/T15579.7-2005; the old standards of JB/T9533-1999、JB/T9526-1999 and JB/T9532-1999 written in “Implementation rule of Compulsory Product Certification for Electric and Electronic Products-Electrical Welding Machine” (No. CNCA-01C-015:2001) was stopped to use.
During the date of new standard coming into effect and before next factory follow inspection, the old standard compulsory certificate (abbr. Certificate) holder must submit new certificate replacing application to designated certification organization. And carrying out sample inspection according to new standard, replaced to new standard certificate when inspection past. The old standard certificate will be self-invalidation if not get new standard certificate in a definite time.
The certificated products meet the requirements of old standards which was manufactured, sold and imported before December 1, 2005 do not need to get certificate with new standards.
It is hereby announced.
